…and any customer, whether an individual or a legal entity, making a booking via the website www.legrandbleu.fr or by any other means.

Article 2 — Purpose and scope

The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the sale of dinner-cruise services, private events and seminars offered by Le Grand Bleu aboard the boat Le Grand Bleu, sailing on the Seine in Paris.

Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms & Conditions of Sale. The customer declares having read them before proceeding to payment.

Article 3 — Booking

A booking is deemed firm and final upon receipt of payment (in full or as a deposit, depending on the option chosen) and of the confirmation sent by email by Le Grand Bleu.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided when booking (name, email, telephone, number of guests, etc.). Le Grand Bleu cannot be held liable for any data-entry error.

Article 4 — Prices and payment

The prices shown on www.legrandbleu.fr are in euros, inclusive of tax. Le Grand Bleu reserves the right to change its prices at any time; the prices applied are those in force at the time of booking.

Payment is made through a secure payment solution. Banking details are never stored by Le Grand Bleu.

Depending on the option: individual bookings (up to 10 guests) are paid 100 % online at the time of booking. Group bookings (more than 10 guests) and private events require a 50 % deposit at booking, with the balance due at the latest 10 working days before the event (see Article 5).

Article 5 — Cancellation by the customer

Any cancellation or amendment request must be sent by email to contact@legrandbleu.fr. Any amendment request remains subject to availability.

Individual bookings (up to 10 guests)

  • The booking is confirmed once 100 % of the service has been paid.
  • Cancellation made more than 72 hours before departure is free of charge, with a full refund of the amounts paid.
  • Cancellation made less than 72 hours before departure, or any no-show on the day of the event, gives rise to no refund.

Group bookings (more than 10 guests)

  • The final number of guests must be confirmed at the latest 10 working days before the event.
  • A reduction in the number of guests is possible within a limit of 10 %, with a refund of the difference.
  • Any increase in the number of guests is subject to availability and acceptance.
  • A 50 % deposit is required, depending on the booking lead time, and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
  • The balance must be paid at the latest 10 working days before the event. From that date, no cancellation or refund can be granted.

In the event of a no-show or late arrival preventing boarding, no refund or rescheduling can be granted.

Article 6 — Cancellation or amendment by Le Grand Bleu

Le Grand Bleu reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or amend a service in the event of force majeure or exceptional circumstances beyond its control, in particular an administrative decision, a navigation ban, flooding of the Seine, exceptional bad weather, unforeseeable technical failure, industrial action, an exceptional event, or any decision by the competent authorities or the Port of Paris.

Customers will be informed as soon as possible once Le Grand Bleu becomes aware of the situation. No minimum notice period can be guaranteed.

In such a case, Le Grand Bleu will first offer to reschedule the service to an equivalent date, subject to availability.

If rescheduling is not possible or is not desired by the customer, a full refund of the amounts actually paid will be made.

No refund of ancillary costs (transport, accommodation, parking, catering, loss of business or any other indirect loss) nor any additional compensation may be claimed.

Article 7 — Conduct of the service

The customer undertakes to arrive at the time stated on their booking confirmation, boarding taking place before the boat departs.

  • Menus and programme — Menus, drinks, entertainment, times, route and programme may be adapted according to technical, weather or logistical constraints, without any right to compensation. The programme is subject to change.
  • Seating — Seating is arranged by Le Grand Bleu. Specific tables (window tables in particular) are only guaranteed when they have been booked and paid for under the applicable conditions.
  • Prams — Prams and strollers are not permitted on board due to access and circulation constraints on the boat.
  • Alcohol — Staff reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to anyone whose condition could compromise safety on board.

Punctuality

Passengers are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the boarding time. The boat departs at the scheduled time and cannot wait for latecomers. No refund or rescheduling will be granted in the event of late arrival.

Sailing conditions

In the event of flooding, bad weather, a decision by the competent authorities or any event beyond the organiser's control preventing navigation, Le Grand Bleu may modify the route, keep the dinner moored at the quay or postpone the service, without this giving rise to any compensation other than that provided for by law.

Children's access and the responsibility of accompanying adults

For safety reasons, children under the age of 2 are not admitted on board.

Every minor must be accompanied and remain under the constant supervision of a responsible adult throughout boarding, the cruise and disembarkation.

The accompanying adult is solely responsible for the supervision and behaviour of the minor(s) in their care. It is their duty to take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety and to see that the crew's instructions are followed.

Le Grand Bleu reserves the right to refuse boarding to anyone failing to comply with these conditions, without any refund being claimable.

Conduct, behaviour and safety on board

In order to ensure the safety, comfort and smooth running of the cruise, each passenger undertakes to behave respectfully towards other guests, crew members and Le Grand Bleu staff.

Any dangerous, aggressive, violent, insulting, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour, or behaviour likely to endanger people's safety, the smooth running of the service or the equipment, is strictly prohibited.

Passengers undertake to follow the safety instructions given by the crew throughout boarding, the cruise and disembarkation.

Le Grand Bleu reserves the right to refuse boarding or to end the service, without refund or compensation, to anyone whose behaviour — including as a result of intoxication or the consumption of behaviour-altering substances — is likely to compromise their own safety, that of other passengers or the crew, or the smooth running of the cruise.

Any damage caused intentionally or through negligence to the boat's equipment or to the property of others may engage the liability of the person responsible, who may be required to make good the damage.

The captain's authority on board

The captain is the sole decision-maker on board. For safety reasons, any instruction given by the captain or a crew member must be followed immediately. In the event of refusal or of behaviour endangering people or the vessel, the captain may refuse boarding, have the passenger disembark at a stop where it is safely possible, or end their participation in the cruise, without refund.

Safety instructions

Passengers undertake to follow all instructions given by the crew, in particular regarding movement on board, access to technical areas and emergency procedures.

Dangerous items

Any weapon, dangerous object or illegal substance is strictly prohibited on board. Le Grand Bleu may refuse boarding to anyone failing to comply with this rule.

Outside food and drinks

Unless expressly authorised, bringing outside food or drinks on board is prohibited.

Smoking and e-cigarettes

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in the indoor areas of the boat. Only designated areas may be used.

Animals

Animals are not admitted on board, with the exception of guide or assistance dogs in accordance with regulations.

Article 8 — Allergies and dietary requirements

Guests must report any allergy or specific dietary requirement before their visit. Despite the precautions taken, Le Grand Bleu cannot guarantee the complete absence of traces of allergens.

Article 9 — Liability

Le Grand Bleu is bound by an obligation of means (best efforts). It cannot be held liable for damage resulting from force majeure, from an unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party, or from the customer's own conduct.

Personal belongings, luggage and valuables remain entirely under the customers' responsibility. Le Grand Bleu accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage of items on board.

Any wilful damage to the facilities or equipment may be charged to the customer responsible.

Article 10 — Personal data

The data collected when booking (name, first name, email, telephone) is used exclusively to process the booking and send the confirmation. It is neither shared nor resold to third parties.

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data by writing to contact@legrandbleu.fr.

Article 11 — Image rights

Photographs or videos may be taken on board for communication purposes. Anyone who does not wish to appear is invited to inform a member of the crew before departure.

Article 12 — Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing agreement, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts within the jurisdiction of Paris.

In accordance with Article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code, consumer customers may use the consumer mediation service free of charge. The mediator's details are available on request at contact@legrandbleu.fr.
